Two of Bharat Heavy Electricals’ functional directors and the chairman and managing director are scheduled to retire in early 2027. Director (Engineering, Research & Development) S.M. Ramanathan steps down on Jan 31, 2027 and CMD K. Sadashiv Murthy on Feb 28, 2027. Director (Power) Tajinder Gupta holds the additional HR charge after the HR director quit in March 2026, and Manepalli Sridhar has been recommended for the HR post by the selection board, with no official communication yet.
