Berkshire CEO Abel calls Alphabet a major AI player after Q2 stake increase
Berkshire Hathaway CEO Greg Abel told CNBC that Alphabet is a strong player in artificial intelligence and that Berkshire has a clear view of AI’s impacts across its portfolio. Berkshire added $17 billion in Alphabet shares in the second quarter, making it the third-largest holding, and Abel said the deal was based on a recommended sizing and a 6.5% discount.
