Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) plans a new heavy earth-moving equipment manufacturing base in Chhattisgarh after the state Cabinet approved allotment of 79.7 acres of government land in Mungeli district at a concessional rate. The first such plant in the state is expected to drive local industrial development, create employment, and boost demand for MSMEs, logistics and spare parts providers.
