BASF inaugurated a fully modernised acid chlorides and chloroformates production plant at its Ludwigshafen Verbund site. The upgrade increases capacity and improves sustainability to strengthen long-term supply reliability for customers worldwide. Since 2025, the portfolio is produced using renewable electricity credits for upstream processes, cutting product carbon footprint by an average 19% without changing specifications or ordering processes.
