Bank of Montreal to Reorganize International Capital Markets Under New Leadership

BMO Capital Markets plans to reorganize its international business under one leadership structure. Asia head Chris Taves will retire Jan. 31, 2027, while Richard Couzens, currently leading EMEA, becomes head of international capital markets effective Nov. 1. Couzens and Asia global markets head Glenn Anson will support the Asia team in early 2027 as BMO and RBC agree to sell Moneris to Francisco Partners for about $2 billion.
