Bank of Montreal is removing commission fees on stock, ETF and options trades on its BMO InvestorLine direct investing platform to draw younger customers as online broker competition increases. New accounts opened this month pay nothing to trade, hold the account, or leave. BMO InvestorLine accounted for 9% of revenue in wealth management in the third quarter.
