Balfour Beatty U.S. Construction turns £11m loss into £22m profit
Balfour Beatty reported a first-half earnings rebound, with underlying profit from operations rising to £119 million and EPS up to 21.7 pence from 14.4 pence. U.S. Construction generated £22 million underlying profit from operations versus an £11 million loss a year earlier, driven by stronger Buildings activity and reduced Civils losses, while Support Services PFO grew 43% to £66 million.
