The US Department of State reached an administrative settlement with BAE’s US arm to resolve 104 violations of the Arms Export Control Act and ITAR. The breaches involved unauthorized technical-data exports to countries including China and licensing-control violations. BAE voluntarily disclosed all but one allegation, cutting the penalty, and must reserve $18m to strengthen its compliance program.
