Axis Securities expects rural recovery and premiumisation to keep auto demand firm, citing strong two-wheeler dispatches between April and August 2026. Cumulative sales rose 18% year-on-year to 91.15 lakh units, while August dispatches were up roughly 9% year-on-year and 6% month-on-month to over 19.12 lakh. Bajaj Auto led with about 10% August growth, as passenger vehicle volumes climbed 28% to around 21.6 lakh.
