Audi unveils A2 e-tron compact EV to lift European sales

Audi introduced the compact A2 e-tron to strengthen its position in the smaller European EV segment facing affordable Chinese competition. The model uses 12.8 kWh/100 km, has a maximum range of 646 km, and will be built in Ingolstadt with deliveries starting in December. Sales fell two years in a row, down 7% in H1 2026, and Volkswagen plants face possible closures after 2030.
