Atlanta’s rideshare drivers union urged local and state officials to protect drivers’ earnings on platforms such as Uber and Lyft, saying Alphabet’s Waymo robotaxis is already reducing human work volume. The report also says the union wants limits on robotaxi deployments, while Waymo supports a hybrid model using both human and autonomous drivers.
