AT&T Sues Charter Over “Fiber-Powered” Internet Advertising Claims
AT&T sued Charter Communications in federal court in Texas, alleging Charter’s Spectrum Internet ads misleadingly label the service “fiber-powered” and as part of a “Spectrum Fiber Broadband Network.” AT&T claims most Spectrum uses hybrid fiber-coaxial with copper to customer premises, unlike AT&T Fiber’s fiber-to-the-home design, which affects reliability, latency and upload performance.
