AT&T Profit Growth Driven by 5G, Fiber Scale and Cost Savings Plan
Adjusted operating income rose to $7.46 billion and adjusted EBITDA grew 5.2% to $12.34 billion, supported by scale in 5G and fiber. Advanced Connectivity service revenues rose 5.1% and segment EBITDA increased 8%. AT&T expects $4 billion in annual cost savings by 2028 and is gradually retiring copper in favor of fiber and wireless to improve customer economics and growth.
