AstraZeneca’s Camizestrant Misses Primary Goal in Late-Stage Breast Cancer Trial
U.S. shares of AstraZeneca fell 3% after camizestrant (Etcamah) failed to meet the main progression-free survival goal in a late-stage trial combining it with Pfizer’s Ibrance in previously untreated advanced breast cancer. The drug showed only a numerical, not statistically significant, improvement in 1,371 patients. The company described the setback as manageable, and analysts said the long-term case remains largely intact.
