Ashok Leyland Aims 50–60% Localised EV Battery Packs in India
Ashok Leyland plans to localise 50–60% of EV battery packs in India, excluding cells, to cut dependence on imports. The company is setting up a battery pack facility near Chennai and developing its own pack and battery management system technology. Pack production is targeted to start by end-2027, and the packs may be offered to other automakers.
