Archer Aviation to acquire Boeing’s Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid
Archer Aviation will acquire Boeing’s Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid subsidiaries in one deal, adding autonomous eVTOL tech and profitable reconnaissance drones. Wisk has built and flown six eVTOL generations with 1,700 flight tests, while Insitu’s ScanEagle has flown for armed forces in 35 nations with 3,500 systems. Boeing takes an Archer equity stake and board nominee, and the trio feeds about two million flight hours into Archer’s ZEE AI model.
