Archer Aviation began demonstration flights of its electric vertical takeoff and landing air taxi, starting with a roundtrip between Salinas and Hollister, California. The aircraft flew at up to 125 mph, reaching 3,550 feet and completing each leg in about 12 minutes. The company plans further demos to Texas and Florida, supported by the FAA’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program, and is building vertiports after acquiring Hawthorne Municipal Airport and developing a Los Angeles hub with AEG.
