Apple Sets EU Third-Party App Store Fee at 5% From Oct. 1

Apple said alternative, third-party app stores in the EU will be charged a 5% commission on in-app purchases under Digital Markets Act requirements. Apps buying via Apple’s App Store system will pay 26%, while link-out purchases pay 15%. Apple called this a Core Technology Commission replacing last year’s proposal, with some program discounts, effective Oct. 1.
