Nate Gatten will become vice president of government affairs at Apple on Aug. 31, according to a memo from General Counsel Jennifer Newstead. He replaces legal chief Kate Adams, who will stay in an advisory role until Oct. 1, as Apple taps a longtime American Airlines executive with Republican ties for the politically sensitive post.
