Czech company PlasmaSolve has been acquired by Apple, reportedly to advance software that optimizes manufacturing of scratch-resistant metallic coatings. PlasmaSolve’s MatSight models PVD and PECVD to improve process design. Founded in 2016 and based in Brno, the small team made simulation software used by firms such as Kolzer, Von Ardenne, and the Danish Technological Institute.
