Anheuser-Busch InBev Sues Tennessee for $1.8M Franchise Tax Refund
Anheuser-Busch InBev Worldwide sued Tennessee’s Department of Revenue for more than $1.8 million in state franchise taxes plus interest for 2022–2023. The filing follows 2024 franchise tax reform that eliminated a contested calculation and authorized retroactive refunds. The complaint says the state wrongfully treated the refund requests as denied and that taxes were computed incorrectly, seeking a refund, proper recomputation, and attorney fees.
