American Honda has surpassed one million US deliveries after eight months, driven by a strong hybrid lineup. Honda and Acura sold 36,776 hybrids in August, up 9.2% year to date, and passenger cars rose 16.3% despite weaker light truck sales. Accord hybrid climbed 16.4% while Civic hybrid fell 11.8%, and Acura SUV deliveries rose 16.5%, supporting Honda’s view of self-charging hybrids as the top strategy.
