American Express is promoting a $300 bonus for opening a new American Express Rewards Checking account and making at least $7,500 in qualifying direct deposits within 90 days. The offer may take 8 to 12 weeks to be credited, and existing or prior Rewards Checking holders aren’t eligible. It also offers a 30,000-point bonus for new Business Checking and up to 80,000 bonus miles on a Delta SkyMiles Gold card.
