American Airlines Flight Diverts After Passenger Restrained With Duct Tape
An American Airlines flight was diverted after a disruptive passenger, who became violent midair and yelled racial slurs and anti-gay remarks, was restrained to his seat with duct tape and zip ties. Flight attendants and other male passengers restrained him as he tried to break free. The plane diverted to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, where law enforcement took him into custody. The airline said it thanked crew professionalism and customers’ understanding.
