AMC Refinances $400M Debt to Cut Interest as Leverage Goal Targets 3x
In the second quarter, AMC refinanced $400 million of debt due in 2027, extending maturity by four years, and converted about $155.8 million of exchangeable debt due in 2030 into equity. The moves are expected to cut annual cash interest expense by about $16 million, with further savings possible if rates fall on roughly 75% of the debt as leverage improves.
