Amazon Reintroduces Arbitration Clause and Class-Action Waiver
Amazon told customers it updated its user agreement with a new arbitration requirement and class-action waiver, steering disputes away from court while still allowing small claims that usually cap damages to a few thousand dollars. Amazon said arbitration would provide a faster, cheaper forum. A similar clause was removed in 2021 after Alexa-related legal challenges, and the latest change may be tested in court.
