Amazon is expanding sub-Same Day delivery by asking some Fulfillment by Amazon sellers to submit bids to make their products eligible for deliveries as soon as two hours after purchase. Sub-Same Day is available in 2,300 metro areas, and sellers pay per unit that ships through the option, adding to existing storage and packing fees. The bid system adds pricing and inventory planning complexity for sellers.
