Alstom Signs €3B Deal with VIA Rail for New Canada Train Fleet

Alstom has signed an agreement with VIA Rail Canada to design, engineer, manufacture and support a new Long Distance, Regional and Remote fleet. The deal covers 313 Adessia railway cars valued at about C$4 billion, plus a 15-year Technical Support and Spare Parts Supply Agreement worth nearly C$700 million. The trains will serve eight routes connecting nearly 400 communities and are engineered in Canada for climate extremes.
