Alphabet is deploying its WeatherNext 3 AI weather model, built on live satellite observations, across Search, the Gemini app, Google Maps, Maps Platform and Earth Engine. The company says forecasts can be up to five times sharper, with up to 50% better precipitation accuracy for day-ahead or longer outlooks, and that rollout to Cloud and Maps APIs will be the next test for enterprise adoption.
