Alibaba unveiled Qwen3.8-Max, built on 2.4 trillion parameters, and said it outperforms several benchmarks versus Moonshot’s newly unveiled Kimi K3. Alibaba reported comparable or sometimes better results than Anthropic’s Fable 5, a model temporarily placed under US export controls. The company also said the release is its biggest AI model yet, with performance on par with Anthropic PBC.
