Alcoa Breaks Ground on Gallium Plant Co-Located at Wagerup Refinery

Alcoa Australia President Elsabe Muller joined Alcoa and government and industry leaders from Australia, Japan and the United States to break ground on a gallium production facility co-located with the Wagerup alumina refinery. Constructed and operated by Alcoa, the project is expected to start immediately, create up to 200 local construction jobs, and add around 20 permanent roles when operational.
