Alaska AG warns Alaska Airlines over drug trafficking and noncompliance advice
Alaska Attorney General Stephen Cox sent a warning letter to Alaska Airlines CEO Ben Minicucci as part of a federal push against international drug trafficking. The Trump administration has labeled fentanyl a weapon of mass destruction and ordered tougher enforcement. Cox said Alaska faces an unprecedented fentanyl- and meth-driven public safety crisis, disproportionately harming Alaska Native communities, and raised concerns about the airline’s policies for employee interaction with law enforcement.
