AkzoNobel inaugurated a €7.5 million innovation lab at its Sassenheim site, reinforcing its global powder-coatings R&D center. The facility will develop more sustainable, solvent-free coatings, including lower-temperature curing to reduce energy use and lower-carbon outcomes across the value chain, building on prior scope 1 and 2 CO2 reductions of 50% ahead of schedule.
