Ajinomoto Reportedly Cuts ABF Supply to China by 30%
Ajinomoto has reportedly told mainland China customers it will cut ABF, the insulating build-up film used in many high-end processor packages, by 30%, citing supply-chain sources. Chinese firms relying on Ajinomoto’s reported ~95% global share face increased pressure as China’s self-sufficiency is thought to be below 5%. Ajinomoto is expanding ABF capacity but a third plant won’t start until around 2032.
