Airbus Spain Workers Vote for Indefinite Strike
Airbus Spain employees represented by CGT, UGT and ÚTIL voted to launch an indefinite strike starting Aug. 25, rejecting the company’s latest proposal. Negotiations will continue in the coming days, but unions say the walkout decision is final, affecting eight Airbus production sites and around 14,000 workers. Airbus regrets the outcome while analyzing impacts on output, customer commitments, and reputation, and says its offer includes withdrawing its Supreme Court appeal and reimbursing illegal absenteeism deductions.
