Airbus Sees 1,200-Plane Backlog, With 2 Weekly India Deliveries

Airbus expects deliveries of more than two aircraft per week to India over the next decade, citing a backlog of over 1,200 aircraft with Indian customers and an average of about 120 deliveries per year. The company says it will expand its support network, selecting Indamer Technics to build a radome repair facility in Nagpur and grow avionics repair in South Asia. Airbus also noted a sudden 300-foot altitude drop over Odisha on Aug. 4.
