AEP Texas filed its Wildfire Mitigation Plan with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, setting out processes and technologies to identify wildfire risks, address infrastructure vulnerabilities, maintain and improve systems, strengthen vegetation management, and communicate with customers before, during and after threats. If approved, the plan is expected to take effect in January 2027.
