AEP Restores Power After Outage Leaves Thousands of Stark Customers Without Electricity

American Electric Power restored power after more than 2,000 Stark County customers were temporarily without electricity during hot weather. AEP’s outage map showed 2,765 customers offline around 7 a.m., largely near Jackson Township; by 12:20 p.m., only 21 customers reported outages. AEP said it is unsure of the cause and is investigating as heat advisories remain in effect.
