Acwa Power Indonesia signed a Joint Development Agreement with PT GARAM to develop Indonesia’s first utility-scale integrated seawater desalination and industrial salt facility. The roughly USD 400 million project is designed to produce about 62,500 cubic meters of desalinated water per day and 500,000 tons of high-purity industrial salt annually, with technology transfer, training, and shared operating protocols included.
