ACWA Power and Veolia signed an agreement in Paris to collaborate on seawater reverse-osmosis desalination, prioritizing energy efficiency. Engineers will refine SWRO plant designs to lower electricity use, optimize chemical dosing to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts, and improve water quality via advanced monitoring and treatment. The cooperation targets Acwa’s Rabigh 3, Rabigh 4, Jazlah and Shuaibah 3 facilities.
