Acwa Power and Fichtner Sign Technical Services Agreement for Syria Water Roadmap

Acwa Power, through a consortium with the Water Transmission Company, signed a technical services agreement with Syria’s Ministry of Energy and engineering group Fichtner. The deal launches technical studies under a February 2026 joint development arrangement to review Syria’s water resources, future demand, and desalination and transmission requirements, producing a prioritized roadmap to reinforce water security. Acwa Power manages 9.7 million cubic metres per day of desalinated capacity across 24 assets in seven countries.
