ACWA Power Acquires 42% Stake in Bulgarian Solar PV Plant

ACWA Power, with an affiliate of First Reserve Energy Infrastructure Fund and the Clean Energy Transition Fund managed by Crescent Capital, agreed to acquire a solar PV plant in Karadzhalovo, Bulgaria. The 60MWp plant operates under Bulgaria’s 20-year Feed-in Tariff framework, producing about 81,000MWh annually since March 2012 and selling electricity to NEK. ACWA Power holds a 42% controlling interest.
