AbbVie said atogepant in a late-stage study cut migraine days linked to the menstrual period during the perimenstrual phase, versus placebo. Patients taking atogepant averaged 0.8 fewer migraine days across three menstrual cycles. The drug also met secondary endpoints covering headache burden, acute medication use, disability and cognitive function.
