ABB integrated Gamesa Electric to expand its high-power photovoltaic inverters and battery energy storage system (BESS) conversion offerings. The deal adds more than 100 specialized engineers and converter production sites in Madrid and Valencia, and raises ABB’s installed fleet of renewable energy conversion systems by roughly 40 GW, supporting services, maintenance, retrofits and replacements.
