ABB has completed its acquisition of Norwegian marine automation specialist Hoglund AS. The deal adds Hoglund’s global operations and 85 employees across Norway, Poland, Romania and China, with Hoglund’s IAS combining data from ship systems using ABB control hardware. ABB says the technology supports vessel safety and energy efficiency while expanding its marine automation portfolio.
