ABB Camera Readout System Launched for NASA Roman Exoplanet Telescope

ABB’s ultra-sensitive camera readout system, developed with Nüvü Cameras, is used in the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope’s coronagraph. Launched Aug. 30, 2026, the Roman Coronagraph is expected to image exoplanets 100–1000 times better than other space-based systems, with compact “shoe box” electronics built for extreme faint signals and star-light suppression.
