About 80,000 residents lost power Wednesday night in the Houston area after storms tied to Tropical Depression Edouard, according to Entergy Texas. Restoration may take longer for customers in heavily damaged or hard-to-reach locations as flooded roads, fallen trees and debris block access. Entergy restored power to 50% of affected customers; about 39,000 were still without service at 6 p.m.
