Modella Capital bought the freehold of WH Smith’s Greenbridge Road offices as part of a £40 million deal taking charge of about 460 high street shops. After a court-approved restructuring plan, TG Jones completed redundancies affecting around 70 staff at the Swindon HQ, following a Swindon town-centre shop closure and potential closures of up to 150 branches. The HQ site is also set for redevelopment into 219 homes.
