5N Plus to Produce GaAs Components for U.S. Defense Applications
5N Plus’ DIBX pitch has led to a US$7.3 million selection by the U.S. Department of War to build domestic gallium arsenide component production for defence. The company plans to expand its St. George, Utah site with crystal-growth and GaAs compounding equipment, adding process controls and inspection capabilities to close a U.S. supply chain gap.
